Get familiar with the Water, Sanitation and Hygiene (WASH) guidelines for hygiene promotion in emergency operations developed by the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC).
In this course you will experience working in a more participatory way throughout all the important steps of hygiene promotion in emergencies: assessment, planning, implementing, and monitoring and reviewing hygiene promotion activities. You will start the process with understanding the problem, as well as the barriers and motivators for behaviour change. You will involve the community at all stages and will learn how to better coordinate with all WASH stakeholders. You will also find links to WASH tools, resources and reference materials.
This is a free 30-minute introductory course and is available in English on the Red Cross Red Crescent Learning Platform.
